Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) work by taking heat from the air outside the building, this being used to heat your home as well as providing hot water.

These pumps are electrically driven and use what is known as the refrigerant cycle. Basically, the heat from the air is absorbed at low temperatures into a fluid inside specially designed pipes. The liquid then passes through a compressor, which increases its temperature. This can then be used in your heating and hot water systems.

The Installation Process

The first stage in the installation of your air source heat pump is the survey. We will carry out a free detailed survey of your property and then provide you with a fully documented proposal.

Once commissioned, our technicians work with the customer throughout the installation, and when all is ready, ensure the smooth transition from your existing heating system to the ASHP.
