Are Sparta Mech Gas Safe registered?
Yes. We're fully Gas Safe registered, so every gas appliance, boiler installation and safety check is carried out and certified by qualified engineers.
How often should I have my boiler serviced?
We recommend an annual boiler service. A yearly service keeps your boiler running safely and efficiently, helps prevent breakdowns, and is usually required to keep the manufacturer's warranty valid.
How long does a new boiler installation take?
A straight boiler swap is often completed in a day. More involved jobs - such as moving the boiler, converting to a combi or replacing pipework and radiators - can take two to three days. We'll always give you a clear timescale with your quote.
Do you offer finance on new boilers and installations?
Yes. We've partnered with Ideal4Finance so you can spread the cost with monthly payments, subject to status. You'll find the available rates and a representative example on our finance page.
What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a UK government grant that can put a substantial amount towards the cost of installing an air source heat pump in place of a fossil-fuel boiler. As MCS-certified installers we can advise on your eligibility and handle the application.
How does an air source heat pump work?
An air source heat pump absorbs heat from the outside air - even when it's cold - and uses it to heat your home and hot water. It's a highly efficient, low-carbon alternative to a traditional boiler.
How often should air conditioning be serviced?
We recommend servicing your air conditioning at least once a year to keep it running efficiently and reliably. Commercial systems may need more frequent checks to stay compliant with F-Gas regulations.
